Bar or Bat Mitzvah Chesed Project
Start your Lone Soldier Bar or Bat Mitzvah Chesed Project Now!
The Michael Levin Lone Soldier Foundation is named for fallen Lone Soldier Michael Levin z’l. In 2002 Michael left his home near Philadelphia to immigrate to Israel and join the IDF. Four years later, while home on leave, the Second Lebanon war erupted. Dedicated to protecting his homeland, Michael cut his leave short and returned to his unit. He fell in battle on August 1, 2006. Michael was 22 years old.
Because of the unique hardships Michael faced as a lone soldier, his dream was to create programs and services devoted to serving the needs of lone soldiers. Our Foundation’s mission is to fulfill that dream by providing funding for vital programs and services for lone soldiers and lone b’not sheirut (young women doing national service) in Israel.
Donations from your chesed project will help to provide numerous things like Shabbat and holiday meals, mental health counseling, basic essentials like linens, towels and toiletries, and programs that provide a home away from home for these brave young men and women. You can also create your own special program to be funded by your chesed project.
Please fill out the form below to create your personalized fundraising page. Once we receive your form, we will create this custom fundraising page.
Once created we will send you your personal link to share with friends and family so you can start making a real difference in the lives of lone soldiers!
As a part of your chesed project we can arrange a video event with a lone soldier or lone bat sheirut.
